Moonie Codes
Is this more a Sailor Moon Tumblr or a nostalgia Tumblr, these days? I can’t be sure. (Maybe they’re the same thing, kind of.)
Anyway, here’s another one for “I remember when”. The ’90s! Moonie Codes! This was something we did, citizens of the new internet. You’re just going to have to accept it.
Basically, they were strings of ASCII characters that told the world at large what kind of Sailormoon fan you were. They were great for personal webpages and forum/email signatures (back when such things were mostly text or text-only), but nowadays we have Tumblr for telling everyone, through infinite reblogs, who your favorite senshi is. I haven’t seen one in years, so I’m not sure what made me think of them tonight…
Just for fun, here’s mine (made using version 1.12.05). If anyone else wants to make one, I will a) be incredibly amused and b) be your friend, because friends!! (Oh god, look at all those asterisks…)
